The FAVA is the official student organization of the English Seminar (ES) at the University of Zurich. We are here to make your life as a student of English a little easier and a lot more interesting.
Trish and Seraina are our new student support contact persons. If you feel like there are tensions between students or with teaching staff, don’t hesitate to contact one of them. They will do their best to help or point you in the right direction.
Starting soon, we will conduct a relatively open yearly survey to gather students’ opinions in order to facilitate a better communication between the student body and the English Department.
We recently made this video for new students! It shows you how to get to your (offline) classes and introduces you to the FAVA.
We also take part in the Institutsversammlung (the official meeting of the professors and staff representatives) and address issues concerning the whole university.
On this page you will find information on anything related to your studies, the dates of our events and an FAQ section. Of course we are happy to help with any other concerns you might have.
You think we're doing a great job and want to support us, even take part in our GV? Then don't hesitate to SIGN UP at one of our Cake Days and enjoy the benefits of being a FAVA donor for only CHF10 per year.
If you have ideas for events, talk to us! We can help and offer resources to you.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to send an email to fava@es.uzh.ch.
